Players will have the option of playing through Minecraft Dungeons with their friends! Go through the story mission or farm for weapons & equipment in dungeons with up to 3 other players!

There are two ways you can play multiplayer in Minecraft Dungeons. Play via online multiplayer or through local couch co-op where players can use one platform to play together!

Minecraft Dungeons will be available for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, & Xbox! With crossplay available, you can multiplay with any of your friends no matter which platform they'll be playing on.

How To Multiplay - Online

Select Online Game From Menu

To create a multiplayer game, you must select 'online game' from the main menu. Bluestack app for mac. From there, you will be able to choose friends to start playing with!

Making Friends Needed For Online Multiplayer

Making friends on whatever console you are on is required in Minecraft Dungeons. This is the only way you can play online multiplayer as there is no online matchmaking.

No Online Matchmaking

There won't be any online matchmaking in Minecraft Dungeons. According to developers, the game is meant to be played in online sessions or local co-op games with friends.

How To Multiplay - Local

Select Offline Game From Menu

To create a couch co op or local multiplayer game, you need to select 'offline game' from the main menu. From there, players can select skins for their characters.

Need Separate Controllers To Play

No matter the platform, you will need to have separate controllers for each of your players. Whether just to players or more, this gives each player their own controls during the couch co-op game.
